Job Title: Educational Psychologist
Purpose of Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Educational Psychologist to join our Primary Schools team. The successful candidate will provide expert assessment, consultation, and intervention services to support the educational and emotional needs of our learners.
Reports To: Child Protection Officer
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify learners' strengths, needs, and learning styles.
- Conduct psychoeducational assessments.
- Develop and implement evidence-based interventions to support learners' academic, social, and emotional development.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement Individualised Education Programmes (IEPs).
- Provide consultation and training to teachers and other school staff on topics such as learning strategies, classroom management, and mental health support.
- Develop and implement school-wide initiatives to promote positive mental health and well-being.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of learner assessments, interventions, and progress.
Please note this role is on an initial 24-month contract (2 years)
Qualifications and Experience:
- Education: Master's degree in Educational Psychology
- Professional Registration: Registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as an Educational Psychologist
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience working as an Educational Psychologist in a school setting.

- Experience working with diverse scholar populations.
- Experience with school-wide initiatives to promote positive mental health and well-being.
- Bilingual or multilingual skills.

- Strong knowledge of child development, learning theories, and educational psychology.
- Must have experience with applications of accommodations and concessions.
