Hourly Rate: $26.45 - $31.25

Classification: Non-exempt / hourly

About Generation Hope:

Generation Hope is a nonprofit organization with a mission to ensure all student parents have the opportunities to succeed and experience economic mobility by engaging education and policy partners to drive systemic change and providing direct support to teen parents in college as well as their children through holistic, two-generation programming. To date, we have provided over $1.2 million in tuition assistance, supported almost 435 teen parents in college, celebrated more than 170 degrees earned through our program, and built relationships with 30+ two and four-year institutions nationwide. Position:

The Operations Coordinator is a part-time position, working directly with the Office Manager and Director of Human Resources & Administration to enhance its internal and external effectiveness. The Operations Coordinator serves as a point of contact for the organization and is responsible for providing outstanding customer service, being an enthusiastic professional, and building relationships with stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Support organization-wide calendar and communicate any scheduling changes to staff
  • Support document management and filing systems
  • Greet visitors in the office by welcoming and directing them appropriately, including answering incoming calls, relaying messages and fielding general inquiries
  • Maintains the inventory of supplies for office, equipment and kitchen
  • Ensures day-to-day compliance with office procedures and protocols, referencing the relevant policies.
  • Provides support when needed to assist staff with assigned administrative duties such as sorting and distributing mail and preparing documents.
  • In partnership with Office Manager, provide logistical support for internal meetings and events.
  • Performs others tasks as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A passion for our mission and work
  • An Associate’s degree in business administration or a similar degree program, or a combination of training and experience
  • A minimum of 2 years experience working in a non-profit office environment is preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills and in-depth knowledge of relevant software such as Microsoft Suite, Google Workspace, other in-house platforms, etc
  • Knowledge of standard office administrative practices and procedures, organization, and problem-solving skills to help support and enable sound decision-making.

To be successful in the position, you must be able to:

  • Work in a fast-paced environment and be a multi-tasker.
  • Innovate and be creative, having the ability to generate solutions that will streamline work.
  • Demonstrate comfort using a business email system, such as Google Workspace
  • Build relationships with various personalities while continuing to enforce policies
