ABOUT THE CRA TEAM
The Center for a Reimagined Africa (CRA) supports African public sector leaders in developing the expertise, experiences and partnerships needed to improve service delivery and outcomes for African citizens. We run various learning programs targeted at public sector officials at varying levels of seniority.
THE ROLE
We are looking for a Leadership Teaching Assistant (TA) to support the Leadership Trainer in delivering a six-month leadership development program for 80 Digital Ambassadors in the Government of Togo’s Digital Ambassador Program.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Training & Facilitation Support
- Assist the Leadership Faculty in delivering virtual sessions and two in-person workshops.
- Facilitate breakout discussions, role-playing exercises, and peer learning activities.
- Help Ambassadors apply leadership principles to real-world government challenges.
- Provide feedback on various submissions by Ambassadors.
Coaching & Mentorship
- Lead monthly peer learning circles to encourage leadership reflection and growth.
- Provide additional small-group coaching on self-leadership, emotional intelligence, and stakeholder influence.
- Offer 1-on-1 leadership coaching (as needed) to help Ambassadors navigate workplace challenges.
Program Coordination & Engagement
- Ensure ongoing engagement between virtual training sessions and workshops.
- Monitor Ambassadors’ leadership development progress and provide feedback to the Leadership Faculty and the program team.
- Moderate WhatsApp/Slack discussions to keep leadership conversations active.
Capstone Leadership Reflection & Presentation Support
- Assist Ambassadors in preparing their Capstone Leadership Reflection, where they showcase their growth and impact.
EXPERIENCE
- 5+ years of experience in leadership development, coaching, facilitation, or mentorship.
- Strong understanding of self-leadership, resilience, emotional intelligence, stakeholder influence and other aspects of leadership.
- Experience in leading discussions, moderating peer learning groups, or coaching individuals.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills to engage large groups.
- Fluency in BOTH English and French.

- Remote (with two in-person training workshops in Togo)
